HEADER
The foundational vision of Mapleview Community Church is for those called of God to have an attitude and practice of Giving, Growing, and Going into the entire world. Our scriptural mandate are found in the spoken words of Jesus in John 20:21.

"Peace be with you! Even as the father has sent me, so I send you." (K.J.V.)

The following is the expectancy of our church family:

Focus
It is the hope of our church family to be a culturally relevant body. Our relevance will be attained and maintained through Christ-like character and maturity toward God and our neighbors. Christ likeness will be developed through prayer and study of the Bible.
"It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation." Eph 4:16

Burden
It is the hope of our church family to become a fountain of life, sharing Jesus Christ with the unchurched. Starting with those of our community, then those of our city, spreading to our country and finally to the world.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hillside cannot be hidden." Mattew 5:14

Strategy
It is the hope of our church family to create an atmosphere, through worship, fellowship, and ministry in Jesus' name, where the beautiful presence of God will be personally experienced by all that would enter though His gates.
"To the weak I become week, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. " 1 Corinthians 9:22 (2Corinthians 13:14)

Empowering
It is the hope of our church family that the powerful Holy Spirit of God will find an openness to move in and through His people. Strengthening them in obedience and sacrifice so that the mighty demonstrations of the Spirit's power would bring true honour and glory to our exalted king.
"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." 1Corinthians 2:4

Harvest
It is the hope of our church family to see ten thousand people come to faith in Christ, and be baptized in water and filled with the Holy Spirit in this coming generation.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galations 6:9
